Social Service Agency administers tens of state social and health protection programs. The Agency is the service that disposes the multi-million expenses and directs them to provision of the beneficiaries - the various contingents which requires service or assistance, with social disbursements, state health and social programs maximally. State pension, social assistance, health   insurance, appropriate provision of the persons with disabilities, guardianship and custody of children deprived of care, etc - these are the issues, within the frameworks of which more than 2000 employees of the Agency serve approximately 2.5 million Georgian citizens (about 60 percents of the Georgian citizens).
 The territorial offices of the Social Service Agency are located on 68 addresses. It renders due service almost one third of the population residing in Georgia on monthly basis. The Agency provides more than 25% of the Georgian citizens with free medical insurance, which means full medical service of the beneficiaries with state financing. The Social Service Agency is the body of guardianship and custody as well, offering various privileges, allowances and necessary services to children deprived of care and the persons with disability status for their full integration in society.
 Major aim of the Social Service Agency is to support the most socially vulnerable strata of the society, raising of quality of service rendered to the citizens, perfection of the services, transmission on more flexible, simpler and prompt, easily available mechanisms for the population.
 It is important that each citizen felt himself worthily and receive fair provision.
